Manigkarh Cement has been continuously providing health services to the rural people through our Scheme "HOSPITAL ON WHEELS", whereby an Ambulance fully equipped, visits villages in the vicinity accompanied by Medical Officer and Para-medical Staff for giving on-the-spot health check up assistance besides medicines.
This is an on-going CSR Project of the Company.

CONSTRUCTION OF CEMENT ROADS BY MANIKGARH CEMENT AT VILLAGE GADCHANDUR


To alleviate the problems faced by the Muslim community of Gadchandur village, in approaching the burial ground, a cement road of 300 mtrs. has been constructed by Manikgarh Cement. This road has eased out the difficulties of the Muslim brethren in reaching the Kabristan.

Similarly, on receipt of requests from Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat, Gadchandur, Manikgarh Cement, for overall development of village Gadchandur is presently constructing another 300 mtrs. long cement road in Ward No. 2 of Village Gadchandur under its CSR Projects Programme.


CSR PROJECT - CONSTRUCTION OF ROAD IN GADCHANDUR VILLAGE.
The BHOOMI POOJAN was done at the blessed hands of Shri Shankar K Mandelia,  Executive President (Commercial), Manikgarh Cement  and the construction work of approximately 1 KMs road in Village Gadchandur started on 7th January 2013. This is the main road inside Gadchandur Village.

Shri Shankar K Mandelia,  Executive President (Commercial), Manikgarh Cement, starting  the construction work by cutting a ribbon followed by Bhoomi Pooja at the construction site. Gram Panchar, Gadchandur Sarpanch, Shri Papayya Ponnamwar, Shri Meshram, Member , GP, Shri BN Mohitkar, prominent social activist and others were present on this occasion.

The 46th National Safety Day was grandly celebrated in Manikgarh Cement premises as a joint function of Manikgarh Cement with great zeal and enthusiasm on 4th March 2017.

The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the Safety Flag by Senior Safety Officer, Mr Kamlesh Kurmi. The Safety Pledge was administered by Mr Vikas Patil, Safety Supervisor, to all employees of Manikgarh Cement & Contract Labourers.

Mr Sumedh Dharwade, Assistant Officer (Safety), presented the Annual Safety Report about the safety activities carried out during the year. Shri SG Dhali, General Secretary of Workers' Union, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of safety in day-to-day work.

On this occasion of celebration of NATIONAL SAFETY DAY, a team of Engineers and workers participated in a live mono-act on the subject of 'Accident in Plant due to negligence and unsafe act' and again the same mono-act was performed on the subject 'How to work safety with the use of safety equiements and PPEs'.

Unit Head, Shri Rajendra Kabra, in his inspiring speech, stressed upon the employees to adopt safe work practices in all aspects of life - be it at home or at workplace. He also emphasized on company's goal of achieving 'ZERO ACCIDENT' target. President also emphasized all employees for their whole-hearted participation in week-long Safety Awareness Program from 4th to 10th March 2017 where screening of a Safety Movie on "Bhopal Tragedy" has been organized on 4th evening itself and then Safety rallies organized in the Township and the Plant premises on 5th and 6th March 2017 respectively.

A large gathering of colony residents and employees participated in these rallies, besides organizing a First-Aid Training Program by the Chief Medical Officer, Dr Balvinder Singh of Mnaikgarh Cement Hospital. Further, various programs on 'On-the-Spot Quiz Competition' at shop-floor areas/at various departments of the Plant and Safety Speech Competition have been organized on 7th and 8th March 2017. The concluding program of the Week-long Safety Awareness Program will be held on 10th March 2017 where winners in various categories of activities will be rewarded at the blessed hands of the President, Shri Rajendra Kabra.

On 4th March, 2017, Safety Awards for Good Housekeeping, Innovative Ideas, Safe Working Practices, etc.  were also given to various departments as well as individual employees by the President Shri Rajednra Kabra, Shri AK Jain, Executive President (Mechanical), Shri MP Joshi, Executive President (Electrical & Instn.), Shri ND Hemke, Sr Jt President (Mech.), Shri HP Tiwari, Sr. Vice President (P&A) and Shri CS Vithalkar, Sr Vice President (Mechanical).

An exhibition on Safety was also inaugurated at the hands of the Unit Head, Shri Rajednra Kabra. In the exhibition various stalls of personal protective equipments, fire fighting equipments, safety posters & slogans, etc. were exhibited.

The programme was well compared by Mr Sumedh Dharwade, Assistant Officer (Safety), under the guidance of Senior Safety Officer, Shri Kamlesh Kurmi and the President, Shri Rajendra Kabra.

CELEBRATION OF INDEPENDENCE DAY 2017
AT MANIKGARH CEMENT & MANIKGARH CEMENT UNIT-II


The 68th Republic day celebration was held at Manikgarh Cement parade ground on 26th January 2017 in a festive manner with all the solemnity, patriotism and enthusiasm. The festive celebration started with lighting up of the Holy Lamp and Homage to the Father of the Nation by the Chief Guest  Shri Yuvraj Sonkutiya, Khalasi (one of the senior most workmen of our organization) and Guest of Honour, Shri MP Joshi, Executive President (Electrical & Instn), Manikgarh Cement and other senior executives.  After the inspection of the Parade by the Chief Guest, security contingent and school students with their smart turnout and Band in attendance, participated in the impressive parade and presented salute and Guard of Honour to the National Flag.

On this occasion, the tiny-tots of KG students of Swaraswati Vidya Niketan also participated and presented a group dance on a melodious patriotic song "Jahan Daal-Daal Par Sone Ki Chidiya Karti Roj Basera". The students group of Manikgarh Cement English School & Jr. College performed Yoga Aasanas and displayed pyramids on the topics patriotism, besides singing of patriotic songs. The presentations of the students were very much admired by one and all present on the occasion of celebration of Republic Day 2017.

On this festive occasion, awards and appreciation letters were given to winners of Bravery Award, Exemplary Services, besides giving awards to other employees for their best suggestions on production, productivity and safety, etc. Trophies and Awards were also given to winners of various sports and games tournament conducted by Workers Recreation Club and Manikgarh Cement English School & Junior College.

The Program was well attended by Senior Executives of Manikgarh Cement Viz. Shri ND Hemke, Sr Jt President (Mech), Smt & Shri CS Vithalkar, Sr VP (Mech), Shri HP Tiwari, Sr VP (P&A), Shri EV Ravikumar, Sr VP (Finance), Shri SN Singh, Principal, MCE School & Jr College and other senior officers, beside large gathering of residents of the township and village Gadchandur.

The programme was competently compered by Mr Suraj Jalan & Mr Subham Pathak, jointly.  Shri SN Singh, Principal, MCE School, Team of P&A Deptt and security section and other teachers of Manikgarh Cement English School & Jr College, worked hard to make the function a GRAND SUCCESS.



MANIKGARH PREMIER LEAGUE
CRICKET TOURNAMENT - 2015


The Tennis ball Cricket tournament is being organized from the month of October to January every year conducted jointly by Staff Recreation Centre and Workers Recreation Club. This year 2015-16, we had an overwhelming response for this tournament and 10 teams participated in it. All teams were divided into two groups.

PROJECT TITLE    : LARGE-SCALE MEDICAL CHECK-UP & SURGERY CAMPS FOR SICKLE CELL & HYDROCELE PATIENTS

LOCATION            : GADCHANDUR & NEARBY 10 VILLAGES

BENEFICIARIES    : 2562  Persons Blood Tests for identification of sickle cell & hydrocele.

Manikgarh Cement & Sarvoda Yuva Vikas Sanstha, Chimur, have jointly organized a week long Medical Check-up & Surgery Camps from 18.02.2014 to 27.02.2014 for the residents of village Gadchandur and other villages in the vicinity.  In all, 2562 persons of ten villages have undergone Blood Tests for identification of sickle cell & hydrocele affected patients. In these camps, 62 persons were found suffering from sickle cell disease and 38 persons were found suffering with hydrocele, out of which 7 persons have been successfully operated for hydrocele with the help of expert doctors of Public Health Centre, Gadchandur and General Hospital, Chandrapur.


WOOLEN BLANKETS DISTRIBUTED TO BELOW POVERTY LINE ADIVASIS & INMATES OF MATOSHREE VRUDHASHRAM, BALLARSHAH & JIJAMATA ANATH ASHRAM, GADCHANDUR

Under CSR Project, Manikgarh Cement have distributed 200 nos. of woolen blankets to BPL Adivasis of village Pataguda, Marotiguda, Lendiguda, Nankpathar, Dongargaon Andhra, Kolandi, Patan and to inmates of Jijamata Anath Ashram, Gadchandur and Matoshree Vrudhashram, Ballarshah.

PROJECT TITLE            :    DISTRIBUTION OF BICYCLES TO GIRL STUDENTS OF BPL FAMILIES UNDER CSR ACTIVITIES


Bicycles were distributed to 10 girls students of BPL family who are studying at Adarsh Hindi Primary School at Gadchandur

Under the CSR activities, the company had distributed computers to the Adarsh Hindi Primary  Vidyamandir  at Gadchandur . Total 4 computers were given for imparting computer education to the students to cope with the modern trend of education.

Shri  Shankar K Mandelia, Executive Advisor, Manikgarh Cement handed over the computers to the Head Mistress Smt. Lalsare . Shri PK Meshram, CGM(P&A) and Shri Manish Surana, GM (Accounts) Manikgarh Cement were also present in the function.

SHREE GANESH POOJA FESTIVAL
ON THE OCCASION OF GANESH CHATURTHI

Like every year, SHRI GANESH CHATURTHI was celebrated from 05.09.2016 to 09.09.2016 at EF Colony Parade Ground. A colourfully ornamented idol of LORD SHRIGANESH was installed in a well decorated and twinkle-lighted Pandal.

Smt & Shri PS Bakshi, President (Works), Manikgarh Cement, performed the SHRIGANESH STHAPANA POOJA on 05.09.2016, with devotion and prayed to God for the well-being of organization and Manikgarh Cement Parivar and took the blessings of GANAPATI BAPPA.

Shri Rajendra Kabra, President, Manikgarh Cement, Shri AK Jain, Executive President (Mechanical) and a large gathering of colony residents attended the SHRIGANESH STAPHANA Pooja and took the blessings of GANAPATI BAPPA.

Emphasizing safety and security of devotees, each and every corner of the Pooja Premises, was decorated and well lighted and it glittered with the blessing of GANPATI BAPPA in all Five Days of the Utsav.

Every morning and evening, Pooja was performed and Mangal Aarati was chanted by the devotees and during all these five days, various cultural programmes like Solo Dance, Group Dance Competitions for the young children and colony residents, Rangloi Competition for ladies were organized and Prizes were distributed to the winners. Beside this, Bhajan Manjari and Melodious Songs were also performed. On last day of Pooja, after Pooja & Aarati by Unit Head, Shri PS Bakshi, President (Works), a grand SHOBAYATRA was conducted through the residential colonies for immersion of the idol of SHRIGANESH. All devotes participated with zeal and enthusiasm and finally immersed the idol of the GANPATI BAPPA at Amal Nala Dam, near Manikgarh Cement Ropeway line.

All Members of Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Samiti, Manikgarh Cement as well as staff of P&A Department and other concerned actively participated in making the UTSAV a GRAND SUCCESS.


CELEBRATION OF NAVRATRI DURGA FESTIVAL
Navratri Durga Utsav Samiti of Manikgarh Cement Parivar celebrated Durga Pooja Festival with new vigour & full faith, joy, devotion and dedication from 01.10.2016 to 12.10.2016.  On 01.10.2016, Goddess Maa Durga Murti Sthapana was jointly performed by Smt. & Shri PS Bakshi, President (Works) and Smt. & Shri Rajendra Kabra, President, Manikgarh Cement.

During all these 12 days, daily Pooja and Aarthi was done in the morning and evening, besides various cultural programs like religious Bhakti Geet and Rangoli competition for ladies, religious Fancy Dress competitions, etc. for small kids and children were organized and the prizes were distributed. Also, Sundarkand Bhajan, Laksha Kumkum Archana by ladies, open Dandiya on religious songs and one-minute Games Competition were also organized.

On 06.10.2016, Goddess Saraswati Pooja was performed by School children of Manikgarh Cement English School & Jr. College. And on 07.10.2016, a special programme of DHUNACHI ARTI DANCE, followed by a melodious BHAJAN SANDHYA performed by local artistes of Manikgarh Cement Parivar were also organized as a part of the celebrations.
On 09.10.2016, HAWAN was performed by, Smt & Shri Rajendra Kabra, Unit Head, followed by Poorna Ahuti and Kanya Bhojan/Mahaprasad on 10.10.2016, where approximately 800 girls took the Prasad of Goddess Maa Durga.
On 12.10.2016, after Pooja and Aarti by Smt. & Shri Rajendra Kabra and all other members of the Navratri Durga Utsav Samiti immersion/visharjan of Goddess Maa Durga idol, a grand Shobha-Yatra was taken out around the colony and the idol of Ma Durga was immersed in the Amal Nala Dam.

All Members of the Navratri Durga Utsav Samiti of Manikgarh Cement Parivar, with whole-hearted support of the Management of Manikgarh Cement, took active part in the organizing and conducting the celebrations with proper planning. The celebrations was a GRAND SUCCESS.

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAAN
ORGANISED AT MANIKGARH CAMPUS
(A MISSIION OF HON'BLE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA, SHRI NARENDRA MODI)

Inspired by "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" Mission of Govt of India, we, under the leadership our Unit Head, Shri Rajendra Kabra, have organized 'Swachh Manikgarh Program' on 01.01.2017.
The programme has started with welcome speech by Shri BD Singh, President of the Union - Chandrapur Zilla Cement Kamgar Sangh at EF Colony parade ground. The cleaning drive started from EF Colony at morning 9.00 AM to Manikgarh Cement Factory Main Gate and then to BCD Colony, which ended at 01.00 PM.  During this cleanliness drive all main roads, approach roads and bus stands were cleaned.

The cleanliness drive ended with concluding speech by Shri HP Tiwari, Sr Vice President (P&A) and presidential speech by the Unit Head, Shri Rajendra Kabra, highlighting the importance of cleanliness in day to day life of every individual.

Manikgarh Cement English School celebrated its Annual Day function on 29.12.2016 with Zeal and enthusiasm. Shri Rajendra Kabra, President, Manikgarh Cement & Chairperson, Manikgarh Cement Edn. Society Gadchandur, was the chief guest of the Cultural programme.

Smt. Arpita Kabra, Shri AD Karwa, Sr. Executive President  (Plant) Manikgarh Cement & President, Manikgarh Cement Education Society , Shri M. P. Joshi , Executive President Manikgarh Cement & Vice President Manikgarh Cement Edn. Society, Shri A.K. Jain, Executive President (Mech.) Manikgarh Cement &  Secretary, Manikgaarh Cement Edn. Society, Shri R. K. Udge Executive President (Mines) Manikgarh Cement & Coordinator Manikgarh Cement Edn. Society, Shri H. P. Tiwari Sr. Vice President (P & A) and Shri S.N. Singh, Principal, Manikgarh Cement English School, Gadchandur inaugurated the Programme with lighting up of the traditional Holy Lamp and Garlanding the portrait of "Maa Saraswati".

Mr. Pavan Bele, PGT, gave the welcome speech. Dignitaries of Manikgarh Cement, Principal of Aditya Birla Public School, Awarpur & Ambuja Vidya Niketan, Upparwahi, were also present at the function. Students presented wonderful cultural events like welcome dance, various folk dance, English Play (Alice in Wonderland), Hindi play & Dashavataram (Incarnation of God), dance performed by kids on themes like 'Save Girl Child', 'Patriotism' & 'Child Labour' were the attraction of the cultural eve.  Huge audience witnessed and appreciated the cultural program.

School Activity Report was presented by Shri S. N. Singh, Principal, Manikgarh Cement English School. Shri A. D. Karwa, in his speech, focused on the infrastructure provided in the school to facilitate the education for the better teaching and learning of the students. He insisted on the facility and the best education in the school and appealed the people to take advantage of it. He emphasized on the implementation of e-learning in the school.

Topper Students of AISSE Miss Apurva Kawle and Master Shivam Shukla of AISSCE were awarded for excelling in academics. Miss Anushka Sohu & Master Ankit Rai were awarded for representing school in State Level Athletics Tournament. Rolling House Trophy was awarded to Radhakrishnan House led by House Master Mr. Rajesh Telang, TGT, House Captain Miss Mahek Tikedar. CELEBRATION OF LORD SHREE AYYAPPA POOJA
Members of the Ayyappa Committee and the residents of Manikgarh Cement celebrated 41 days long Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa Pooja at Shree Ayyappa Temple in BCD Colony, Mnaikgarh Cement from 16th November 2016 to 26th December 2016. Beginning of the Pooja was done by Sthapana of the moorti of Ayyappa Deities followed by Pooja, Aaarthi, Bhajan & Mahaprasad. Morning and evening Pooja was conducted every day from 6.00 AM to 6.45 AM & 6.30 PM to 9.30 PM respectively on all 41 days. Special Ganpati Hawan was conducted on every Sundays, Inauagaral & Final days. Special Poojas like Padi Pooja (Pooja of all 18 steps of the temple) & Aayilya Pooja (Naag Pooja) was also conducted. The attraction of the Pooja was Bhajan conducted by the Ayyappa Devotees every day. During the 41 days Pooja, on all Saturdays, Inaugaral & Final days Mahaprasad was distributed and Ayyappa Devotees from nearby villages took the benefit of the same. On 25th & 26th of December 2016 "PARA POOJA" (Dhaan Pooja) was conducted in traditional Kerala Style at Shree Balaji Temple, MA type, Shree Hanuman Temple, EF Colony, Super A, A , Bunglows & BCD Colonies. On 26th December 2016 Shobha Yatra (Procession) of Lord Shree Ayyappa Accompanied by Nadaswaram, Thalapoli moved via BCD colony, SA type, A type, Modified A type, Shree Balaji Temple, Shree Hanuman Temple, EF Colony & back to Shree Ayyappa Temple. After completion of Procession Closing Pooja was carried out. A large number of Ladies & Children participated in Thalapoli. By grace of God, able support of Management & full co-operation of all Ayyappa Devotees this year's Pooja was a Grant Success.



INSTALLATION OF GODDESS SWARSWATI IDOL IN THE PREMISES OF MANIKGARH CEMENT ENGLISH SCHOOL & JUNIOR COLLEGE

A very beautiful marble idol of "Goddess Swaraswati" was installed inside the newly constructed Swaraswati Temple on 18.10.2015 at Manikgarh Cement English School premises. All Students and Teaching Staff have attended the installation ceremony & performed Pooja of "Goddess Swaraswati" with devotion and enthusiasm under the full cooperation of P&A and Civil departments.
CELEBRATION OF FESTIVAL OF COLOURS - HOLI AT MANIKGARH CEMENT & MANIKGARH CEMENT UNIT-II

Holi, the 'Festival of Colours', a religious and ancient Festival of the Hindus has been celebrated by the Members of Manikgarh Cement and Manikgarh Cement Unit-II Parivaar on 23rd and 24th March 2016. The festival started with the ceremony of HOLIKA DAHAN in the evening of 23rd March 2016 at Parade ground, EF colony, where a Pooja was performed at the blessed hands of a very senior citizen, father of Mr Navnath Saudagare, in the presence of Shri HP Tiwari, Senior Vice President (P&A), Manikgarh Cement and large number of workers, staff members and other residents of the EF & BCD colonies. A Kirtan Mandali of EF Colony sang melodius songs on this occasion with exchange of gulal of various colours and greetings of 'HAPPY HOLI' amongst all present were exchanged, followed by distribution of sweet.

On the following day i.e. on 24th March 2016, HOLI was celebrated with great enthusiasm at lush green Holipad ground, where all colony residents from EF colony, BCD and Senior Staff colonies gathered and exchanged Gulal, greeted HAPPLY HOLI amongst each other and wished for spread of goodness, joy & happiness over badness & sorrow.

Unit Head, Shri PS Bakshi, President (Works), was the Chief Guest. He wished all present a VERY HAPPY HOLI and played Holi with Gulal. Other senior executives, namely, Shri JL Tiwari, Sr Executive President (Plant), Shri AK Jain, Executive President (Mechanical), Shri HP Tiwari, Sr Vice President (P&A), Shri DK Tiwari, Ex-Union President, Shri BD Singh, Union President and other Members of Union, workers, staff members and large number of colony children celebrated the Festival of Colours with great enthusiasm, seeking forgiveness and fostering sense of brotherhood amongst people.

TREE PLANTATION & GREEN BELT DEVELOPMENT ON 5TH JUN 2016 & 1ST JUL 2016

On the occasion of World Environment Day i.e. 5th June 2016 we have planted 50 nos plants near our Manikgarh Cement Unit-II entry gate. 

Honourable Environment Minister, Govt of Maharashtra has decided to plant two crore trees in the state on the occasion of the World Environment day.  To implement State Govt decision we have also planted total 5510 trees on 1st July 2016 (Excluding 50 trees planted on world environment day) these trees were planted at Manikgarh Cement & Manikgarh cement unit-II, Colony area, Gadchandur Village , Mines & Mines colony area.
We have planted different Species of Trees such as Neem, Karanj, Peltophorm, Gulmohar, Kair, Akasia etc. we are regularly monitoring the growth of these plants and also using manure and providing regular watering to these samplings.

Our aim is to achieve at least 90% survival rate of these plants.

LORD VISHWAKARMA POOJA

Like previous years, the LORD VISHWAKARMA Pooja was organized at Mechanical Workshop Building. The Idol of LORD VISHWAKARMA was installed on 16.09.2016 and the Sthapana Pooja was done in a beautifully decorated Pandal by a Senior Workmen of the Mechanical Workshop of the Company.

During the Pooja, all Executives, Staff, Company's Workers as well as Contract Workers attended the Pooja, turn- by- turn and took the blessings of LORD VISHWAKARMA.

On 19.09.2016, after the immersion Pooja by Shri PS Bakshi, President (Works), Shri Rajendra Kabra, President and other Senior Executives, the Idol of LORD VISHWAKARMA was immersed at Amal Nala Dam, near Manikgarh Cement Ropeway Line.

ORGANIZES A MAGIC SHOW OF GREAT JADUGAR, MR. NC SARCAR

On 3rd September 2015, Manikgarh Cement and Manikgarh Unit-II organized a MAGIC SHOW of renowned Jadugar, Mr NC Sarcar, Nagpur. The Magic Show started with lighting up of the Holy Lamp by Shri PS Bakshi, President (Works), Manikgarh Cement, followed by Sai Vandana & a mono-act depicting the thought 'Sabka Maalik Ek' by the team of Jadugar, Mr NC Sarcar.

Jadugar, Mr NC Sarcar, performed number of magical items and tricks of illusion, which are nothing but combination of science and arts meticulously presented before the audience of approximately 2500 employees of Manikgarh Cement and Manikgarh Cement Unit-II, teachers and students of Manikgarh Cement English School & Junior College, Swaraswati Vidya Niketan and Adarsh Hindi Vidyalaya, employees of Manikgarh Cement Employees Co-operative Consumers Society and Jan Seva Trust as well as all contractors' workers, contractors and all family members, who were spell-bound till the end of the Magic Show.

RUBELLA VACCINATION CAMP ORGANIZED FOR TEENAGE GIRLS

Manikgarh Cement & Rotary Club of Gadchandur jointly organized RUBELLA VACCINATION CAMP for teenage girls of the age group of 13-18 years, on 31st August 2016 at Manikgarh Cement Hospital.

The vaccination Camp was inaugurated at the blessed hands of Rotarian Kirti Chande, Assistant Governor of Zone 17 of the RI District 3030 and the President of Rotary Club of Gadchandur, Rotarian MP Joshi.  Rtn Dr Anagha Wadekar, Distirct Service Projects (Medical), Rtn Madhavi Tambekar, District Service Projects (Non-Medical), Past President, Rtn ND Hemke, Immediate Past President, Rtn HP Tiwari, Immediate Past Secretary Rtn Iqbal Sheikh and Secretary of RC of Gadchandur, Rtn Avinash Akulwar also graced the occasion.

Dr CS Puppalwar, Chief Medical Officer, Manikgarh Cement Hospital alongwith Rtn Dr Anagha Wadekar with the assistance of other doctors of Manikgarh Cement Hospital & its para-medical staff, explained all the girls about the benefits of RUBELLA VACCINATION.

In all, 500 girls of Manikgarh Cement Town, Gadchandur Village and all the villages in the vicinity of Gadchandur village have been benefitted with RUBELLA VACCINATION during this one day Camp.

DONATION OF WATER PURIFIER TO A SCHOOL

On 02.12.2016, under our CSR initiatives, we have donated one Eureka Forbe make Water Purifier of 60 litres/hr. capacity to Global Mount Public School, which is run by Global Welma Multipurpose Foundation, Korpana, to facilitate the students of the School for pure drinking water. The water purifier was donated to the school at the blessed hands of Hon'ble MLA, Adv. Subhash Dhote, Rajura. Shri HP Tiwari, Sr VP (P&A), Manikgarh Cement, was also present during the function.

ORGANIZED SALES CAPABILITY BUILDING PROGRAM "SAMARTH"

We have organised 3-days' Training Program "SAMARTH" -The Sales Capability Building Program" for our new Marketing Staff from 3rd-5th January 2017 at our conference Hall, where     32 new marketing staff have attended with zeal and enthusiasm.

The Program has started with welcoming Ms. Clarisaa Jathana, Training Faculty, by Shri Rajendra Kabra, President, Manikgarh Cement. Shri Rajendra Kabra and Shri HP Tiwari, Sr VP (P&A) also welcomed Shri Gautam Sinha, Head - HR, Cement Business Group of CTIL. After the warm welcome, an introductory session held to ease out the participants for their attentive participation in this important training program.

On 1st day of the seminar, The Faculty, Ms. Clarisaa Jathana, took on the topics of effective communication during marketing activities, the skills needed for it and ultimate presentation to our valued customers. A Group Photo session was also arranged for the participants.

On the 2nd day, Shri PP John, Head - Technical Services, has highlighted the technical aspects of complete manufacturing process of Cement as well as safety and quality aspects during the manufacturing Process from raising of Limestone at Mines to finished product 'Cement' at plant.

On 3rd day, the Last day, a session of Shri Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, CGM (Mktg), held, where he discussed the nitty-gritty of sales and marketing strategies and bargaining tactics. All participants also visited our Limestone Mines.

During concluding program, Shri Sanjeev Kumar Sharma & Shri Alok Shrivastava shared their views & experience about 3 days' Sales Capability Training Program. The program ended with distribution of Certificate of Completion of 'SAMARTH' and presidential remarks & motivational words by Unit Head, Shri Rajendra Kabra.

DONATION OF COMPUTER & PRINTER TO A SCHOOL

On 04.03.2017, under our CSR initiatives, we have donated one Computer and a Printer worth Rs. 33,000/- to a School, which is run by Arya The Best Union Public Sikshan Sanstha, Jankapur (Patan), Jiwati Tehsil of Chandrapur District, to facilitate the students of the School (having 53 boys and 67 girls) for obtaining skills in computer operation. The Computer set was donated to the school at the blessed hands of Shri HP Tiwari, Sr VP (P&A), Manikgarh Cement. Shri Avinash Sapre, Dy General Manager (HRD) and Mr RR Raut, Oficer (Admn) of Manikgarh Cement. Shri Dinesh Jadhav, President and Shri Bhimrao Pawar, Secretary of the School were present.

SANYUKT CLUB - the Staff Ladies Club of Manikgarh Cement, has organized AANAND MELA on 21st January 2017 at spacious Helipad Ground, under the energetic & vibrant leadership of the President of the Club, Smt. Arpita Kabra. Chief Guest, Shri Rajendra Kabra declared the Mela 'Open' by cutting red ribbon on the occasion. The Chief Guest alongwith all senior executives of Manikgarh Cement and Executive Committee Members of SANYUKT CLUB took a round of all stalls in the Mela ground. The Chief Guest even invoked blessings of Lord Ganesh in Snacks stall and declared it open for all visitors in the Mela.

Lots of food stalls of delicious snacks and foods were put up by different groups of beautifully attired lady members of the club so as to make it a grand program. Even stalls of ready-made garments, cosmetics, games, etc. were also displayed for instant selling on the occasion. A Dance-India-Dance stall was the main attraction of the event where children and youth took active participation and danced on the tunes of modern songs. Many invitees and members of Ladies Club of Ultratech Cement & Ambuja Cement also attended and enjoyed the activities of the Mela.

CELEBRATION OF ANNNUAL BRAHMOUTSAV

Annual Brahmoutsav Pooja was organised at our Shree Balaji Mandir from 28.02.2017 to 03.03.2017. The 4 days long Pooja was started with Ganpati Pooja, Mahasankalp and Kalash Pratishta. Smt & Shri PK Bajaj has performed 4 days Pooja with full of devotion for well-being of the organization and members of Manikgarh Cement Parivar. During these days, daily Pooja, Havan, Aarthi & Prasad Distribution in the Morning and Evening were done.

On 02.03.2017 morning, Shri Ganpati and Maha Laxmi Pooja was performed by Smt & Shri AK Jain in front of Workshop building in Plant premises and in the evening, Shubh Rath Yatra (Procession) of Lord Shree Balaji has started from Bajali Temple to Hanuman Temple, EF Colony, Factory Main Gate and to A-Type, Staff Club and BCD Colony.

108 Kalash Abhisekh, Jhula Utsav of Shree Lord Balaji & Mahaprasad were organised on 03.03.2017 with dedication & devotion. On this occasion, all employees and their families have taken Mahaprasad and blessings of Shree Lord Balaji.

The 4 days long Brahmotsav Pooja was attended by Smt & Shri Rajendra Kabra, President, Manikgarh Cement and other Senior Executives namely, Shri AK Jain, EP (Mech), Shri ND Hemke, Sr Jt President (Mech), Shri EV Ravikumar, Sr VP (Finance), Smt & Shri H P Tiwari, Sr VP (P&A), and other senior officers, employees and their family members, Contractor and the devoted citizens of Gadcahandur village.

The Pooja has performed by Priests, who came from Shree Balaji Temple (BIRLA TEMPLE) Hyderabad under the guidance and cooperation of the Pooja Committee, Personnel Department, Civil department and E&I Department.
